Project Week 2-4: Podcast

Home

In this podcast, I speak on how I see my art as my home. Art is typically considered good if it follows the steps of how to make a portrait, or if it depicts a gorgeous scenery. It was hard growing up with this criteria, but my creative process stopped collaborating with my inner critic after seeing traffic cones. When I was in high school, I kept noticing how many traffic cones I would see on my way to the store, or even to my basketball tournaments. Seeing the variety of cones inspired me to just make works with traffic cones, just for the fun of it! With this podcast, I hope for the viewer to stop being their worst critic, and to have fun with their pieces.  Whether these pieces are professionally drawn portraits and still life drawings, doodles in your homework, or random sketches in your sketchbook. Start seeing art as more than just a job, and allow yourself to have fun with it! Call it your home.
